My name is Verity. Welcome to my site and thank you for taking the time to stop by. I have always had a real passion and love for theatre, having first studied it at college and then at university and as a believer in the saying 'practice what you preach' I have also had a go at treading the boards myself both in some professional and amateur productions. I love the sense of escapism which can be had at the theatre both from initially entering the grandeur of the theatre building itself to then being transported to another world through the story of the production, it really provides an opportunity to escape everyday life and become immersed. 

Here you will find some of my personal reflections and reviews of the plays and musicals I've been lucky enough to see both of a professional and amateur nature. Please note these are reviews are the makings of my own points of view as theatre by its very nature is very individual in terms of interpretation- simply put what appeals to me might not to you. I have also tried to include an idea of my seat price and short review of the view from my seat (as you will notice I am definitely a theatre goes on a budget) I hope this will provide a useful insight too. 

I also have a blog page dedicated to 'Other theatrical experiences' , theatre and performance are so wide and varied now a-days it is sometimes hard to categories into just a few genres, so in this section I have shared my reviews and experience of alternative and broader theatrical experiences, which have allowed me to open my mind and continue developing my own CPD as a theatre-goer.
